Natalie A. Gravette
Natalie A. Gravette earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Her professional background began in the field of education, tutoring non-native speakers of English on campus through UMBC's Yokohama Academy and The Shriver Center. Upon graduation, she was hired by the Japanese Ministry of Education as an English instructor for the Hiroshima Prefectural Government where she remained for three years. On her return to the United States her career continued in the legal field which included legal assistant work in the areas of medical malpractice, telecommunications, and most recently in intellectual property, primarily in domestic and international trademark prosecution, trademark trial and appeals board proceedings, and trademark litigation.
Natalie believes in learning, and after receiving her Masters of Business Administration from The George Washington University, she pursued a career in banking and worked for the World Bank Group and later went on to be the co-founder of an Entertainment, Lighting and Live Event Production company based in Virginia.
A native of Waldorf, Maryland, Natalie was born in Washington, D.C. and currently resides in Old Town Alexandria. A true native of the "DMV". Natalie is currently the Acting President of the George Washington University Hospital Women’s Board, Inc. (The Women's Board) and has been an active member for 16 years. She is proud to honor her mother's work as a nurse, by serving on The Women's Board which has been serving the hospital and neighboring communities for 119 years of uninterrupted service. Natalie has also served the Women's Board as a member and chair on the Finance and Education Committees, and is also a member of the United Nations Association of the United States of America.
