HON. JANE M. ROUSH AND EDWARD L. WEINER JOIN VIRGINIA LAW FOUNDATION BOARD
CHARLOTTESVILLE, February 13, 2019.
Hon. Jane M. Roush of the Virginia Supreme Court and Edward L. Weiner of Weiner, Spivey & Miller PLC have joined the Board of the Virginia Law Foundation. In addition, Justice Roush will serve as a member of the 2019 Governance Committee while Mr. Weiner will serve as a member of the 2019 Donor Relations Committee. Both Justice Roush and Mr. Weiner are Fellows of the Virginia Law Foundation. The Virginia Law Foundation Board assembled for its first meeting of 2019 in Colonial Williamsburg on January 24. Later that day, 22 dedicated citizen lawyers were inducted into the Fellows Class of 2019 during the Foundation’s Annual Dinner. These events are held each year in conjunction with The Virginia Bar Association’s Annual Meeting. Through the generosity of the Virginia legal community and other donors, the Virginia Law Foundation has provided over $25 million in grants to support projects throughout the Commonwealth that facilitate access to justice, promote an appreciation and understanding of the Rule of Law, and provide law-related education in support of these ideals. The VLF Fellows Program encourages civic-mindedness and recognizes excellence in the practice of law and public and professional service. Virginia CLE® is conducted through the Foundation’s Education Division and is the recognized leader in providing continuing legal education for Virginia lawyers.
